Penalty shootout semi final thriller
East Grinstead took a 2-0 lead in the semi final vs HWHC Ladies 1s. A goal from Holly Hunt took HWHC to 1-2 and in the closing minutes, a penalty flick from Joie Leigh saw the game finish in a draw. GK Miriam Pritchard was the hero of the penalty shootout, securing a 3-2 win to take HWHC through to the final.
The Ladies will play Surbiton at 2.30pm on Sunday 14th April. Both teams have secured a place at the EHL (Euro Hockey League) with their top two finish and now battle it out for the title of League Champions.
The Men's 1s lost 1-4 to Surbiton in their semi final but still have a shot at an EHL place in the 3rd/4th play off with three places in Europe in the men's competition. They play at 12.15pm on Sunday 14th April.
