U18 Boys Win Tier 1 National Cup Final!
The U18 Boys faced Repton at Nottingham Hockey Centre on Sunday 13th April to battle for the National title. It was a fast paced, physical game with both sides giving it their all.
After an initial missed penalty flick for HWHC, they were given a second chance after another foul in front of goal. Marco stepped up and secured the conversion to take the team into the lead.
After some fantastic team play in the second half, Aidan stormed up the pitch from defence to react quickly to a rebound and take the team 2-0 up shortly before the final whistle.
The boys have had an incredible journey, some since U10s with the club, and fully deserve this fantastic accolade. They have also secured a place to compete in Europe as U19s next year.
Well done to all of the players for their hard work and commitment, their parents for amazing support, and the coaches and Team Manager who helped make it all happen - Darren, Jason, Ewan and Dom.
