L1s Mid Season Round Up

The Ladies 1s enter the mid season break in 4th place in the Vitality Women's Premier Division. In February they will face Surbiton, Reading, East Grinstead, University of Nottingham and Bowdon to finish in the top four and play at League Finals.

Holly Hunt reports:

After a successful first half of the season, Hampstead and Westminster Ladies 1s head into the Christmas break sitting 4th in the Vitality Women’s Hockey League.

The first few games produced a mixed bag of results, however, the team found their form taking 10 points from a possible 12 in their last 4 matches. This included notable strong performances against Loughborough and Clifton Robinsons, where Hampstead scored 9 and did not concede any across the 2 games.

Speaking of goals, a special mention must go to our new Aussie addition Madi Ratcliffe who has bagged an impressive 8 goals so far, with plenty more to come.

H&W will be looking to push on during Phase 2 of the competition where they will play Surbiton, Reading, East Grinstead, Bowdon and the University of Nottingham as part of the top 6.

It has been great to see the sideline full of spectators every Saturday and the team are very grateful for the support! On behalf of the Ladies 1s, have a great Christmas and we will see you on February 10th.
