Talent Academy Cup - Boys
The boys embraced the heat of each day with afternoon matches in the Talent Academy Cup. Thankfully they learnt how to do laundry while staying in University halls to keep them smelling reasonably fresh.
Their first match vs Holcombe TA was well fought and the boys came away with a 2-0 win. The second match against Beeston TA was more challenging and this time it was HWHC going 0-2 down. On day 3 they played Yorkshire TA and secured a hard fought 3-2 win. This placed them second in the group.
In their crossover match they played University of Exeter TA - the final match of the tournament due to an earlier injury on their pitch. The two TAs had not met before and the opposition proved to be a strong side, going 3-0 up. HWHC managed to claw back a goal and finish 1-3.
Well played to all of the boys and thank you for all of the sideline support from committed parents who waited around every day for the afternoon matches. A massive thank you to coaches Harry, Darren, Lee and Nate for all of their hard work with the team this cycle. We hope the boys have got some rest and have done more laundry.
